Oh, how tired I get, hearing all the negative remarks about this war. People, sit back in your favorite easy chair, close your eyes and open your thoughts to the morning of 9/11/01. Let your mind see that morning, your ears hear the cries of sirens and people alike. Look at the burning towers. The smell of burning fuels and flesh. The plumbs of smoke and ash. As every channel recapped the moments over and over inlaid with the live air shots, there was not a dry eye amoung AMERICANS. We cried out to our government," Get them!" We prayed for vengence. We wanted them to be caught and to be dealt with harshly! Everyone of us. Yet, when our forces were unable to catch the terrorist responcible for such heinous crimes against humanity right away (that continue on today in many countries)and we found out that war cost money, our tunes quickly changed. The man, our President, George W. Bush, who stood up for every American man, woman and child, by issuing the orders to catch the terrorist dead or alive that had committed this horrible act against our country, has taken flack from people ever since. Yes,the war is still on. Yes it cost a lot of money. No we haven't caught the terrorist responcible for killing our people (and still killing and threatening). Yes,our troops are tired and hot. But more importantly, we can sleep at night and enjoy a good meal thanks to all of them! Where would we be now had we coward from the terrorist on 9/11/01 and just let them take over America? May God Bless our President, Troops and each of us. May God Bless America! |
