Traffic on Midland

Why is it that people don't know how to drive on Midland Boulevard in Nampa? There are several intersections where there are two lanes in each direction, but every time I use the outside lane, someone glares at me like I'm doing something wrong. What gives?

The whole purpose of two lanes is to thin out traffic not to wait in a big long line of cars. Not only do they glare they try to race you to make sure you don't get ahead. I have more valuable things to do with my time and money than wait in traffic.

People in Nampa seem to be more mean, petty and stupid than other cities or parts of the state. It wasn't always that way, but just in the last couple years...not sure why.
