Crosswalks

What is with people not stopping for pedestrians in crosswalks? Living next to a school on a fairly busy street, I see this on a daily basis. Not only do I see it, it happens to me. Nobody stops, let alone slow down. Its going to take a tragedy, before people realize when you see someone attempting to cross, stop for them.

I have seen people trying to cross and all the cars in front of me, coming and going, just fly by as if they didn't see them. I agree its going to take someone getting hurt before people realize.

i do agree that people dont give pedestrians in cross walks the time of day anymore. people are always to concerned about hurrying to wherever theyre going either because they might be late or they just dont give a damn to waste their time waiting for others to cross the road. as an impatiant person i share the same feelings, i hate wasting my time for something i dont care about, but when it comes to childrens safety that is something that i wouldn't mind taking a few extra seconds doing while on my way. overall people in general these days are just far more ignorant that what they used to be.
