Reading more books these days. Doing more thinking, about what's really important, what's essential and what isn't. Relaxing more, too. They say 70 percent of disease is preventable, and that 90% of disease is from stress. It makes sense, then, to truly learn to relax, which is much harder than one might think. Being idle isn't the same thing as being relaxed. You can be idle and still be tense or stressed. You can be totally active yet totally relaxed. |

Even if you're not a big reader, the library has a lot of entertainment options. They have movies (educational and entertainment) and magazines. If they don't have the books/movies you are looking for you can always order them. This goes for CDs too. A lot of people I know are skipping movie theatres and renting a movie instead. Movies are free (with a library card) at the library. Also, to earn a little extra money, my family has been finding things to sell on Cragslist. There are a lot of people looking for deals right now, so it's a great way to sell an old stereo, furniture or even clothes. Of course, there good deals if you are looking to buy certain items too. |
